NG Reject Conveyor

Our NG reject conveyor is designed to handle and remove printed circuit boards (PCBs) that have been identified as “NG” or “No Good” during quality control processes. When a PCB fails inspection, testing, or other quality checks, it is marked as defective and needs to be removed from the production line to prevent it from being further processed or integrated into finished products. This is where the NG reject conveyor comes into play.

  1. Detection of Defective PCBs: Quality control systems such as inspection machines, testing equipment, or manual operators identify PCBs that do not meet the required quality standards. These defective PCBs are marked as “NG” or “No Good”.
  2. Diversion to the NG Reject Conveyor: PCBs identified as defective are diverted from the main production line onto the NG reject conveyor. This diversion can be achieved through various mechanisms such as pneumatic gates, robotic arms, or sensors.
  3. Conveyor Movement: The NG reject conveyor then transports the rejected PCBs away from the production line to a designated area for further analysis, repair, or disposal. The conveyor typically moves at a controlled speed to ensure smooth and efficient handling of rejected PCBs.
  4. Integration with Production Line: The NG reject conveyor is integrated into the production line at a strategic point where defective PCBs can be easily identified and removed. It may be positioned after inspection stations, testing equipment, or other quality control checkpoints.
  5. Safety and Containment: It’s essential for the NG reject conveyor system to have safety features to prevent rejected PCBs from re-entering the production line accidentally. This can include physical barriers, sensors, or alarms to alert operators of any issues.

The conveyor plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality standards of electronic products by ensuring that defective PCBs are removed from the production line promptly and efficiently, preventing them from causing issues in finished products.
